Arkansas Organ Donation

You can choose to save lives by enrolling in the Arkansas Organ Donor Registry, which is managed by the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency (ARORA). Thousands of people are on waiting lists to receive organ transplants. According to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), approximately 17 patients on average die every day while waiting for a suitable donation. This translates into one person every 85 minutes.

You or your family is not expected to pay for any medical procedures related to this process. Your organs are a gift. You will be asked after successfully completing a driving test if you would like to participate in the program. If you agree, the words "Organ Donor" will be printed on your license. Visit your local driver's license office for more information.
