Accident Coverage

An automobile insurance policy is comprised of several separate types of coverage including collision, comprehensive, liability, personal injury protection, uninsured motorist, underinsured motorist and others. Under Arkansas law, you are required to purchase just liability protection. The other types of coverage are voluntary unless required by a lienholder.

Liability insurance only covers the other person's damages. Accident or collision coverage pays for the physical damage to your car resulting from crashing into an object, tree or automobile. Comprehensive coverage will protect your car financially for many types of non-collision accidents. Accident insurance is the only way to protect your financial investment in your vehicle if you are found at-fault in an accident. To have a complete car insurance coverage, one must combine liability, comprehensive and accident coverage.
